Client (win 8.1) can't connect to server

Hi
I have one client which can’t connect to the server.
On startup, the status page reads: “Waiting for local UrBackup server” then eventually it changes to “No Internet server configured”.
The server (windows server 2012 r2) and the client (windows 8.1) are on the same subnet. Another client (windows 7) on the same network is working fine.

It worked, briefly, earlier in the week when I uninstalled and reinstalled the client. But now the connection is lost again.

My debug log from startup (I think this is the right bit) says this:

Does anyone see the problem?

Perhaps something with the firewall configuration. Can you temporarily disable it and see if it works then?

Hi uroni

Thanks for coming to help me. I’m afraid it is the same (it doesn’t work, the log returns the same series of messages) with the windows firewall switched off.

Do you have any other suggestions?

If you enable the “Status” column on the server and click on “show all clients” does it show anything for that client?

Hi

It shows status as “ok”

I’ve enabled all the other columns, and they show:
online - no
but
client version and operating system are both blank.

The entries for “last seen” and “last backup” are correct - they’re the last activity before it stopped finding the server after my reinstall the other day.

Any help?

Same problem here.
Disabled firewall on client machine (Windows 7), firewall configuration set correct on server machine (windows server 2008 r2).

BUT: when i change settings on the webinterface (like permissions) - then they are transmitted to the client.
