Client Prefilebackup script

Vielen Dank
Robert

No answers so far… maybe i try it in english, seems to be the preferred language here.

Hello in Urbackup Discourse,

I have the following problem for which I am looking for a solution.
On a Windows client the prefilebackup script should run before the backup run
to stop the database service on the client.
The database is then to be saved. In case of success, the DB service should to be restarted.
Is this possible with the help of scripts?
Unfortunately, I can not find any clues to the call parameters for the scripts or
notes for their syntax.
Can someone help?

I think the pre and post scripts aren’t given any arguments, you could check that by outputting %* (bat) or $@ (sh) to a file

Hello H3PO,

thank you for your answer. Seems there are not not many who make
use of the scripts…
Is there some documentation about that stuff somewhere?
I could start a scheduled task ont he windows client that stops the database engine shortly
before urbackup starts with the backup and start the engine again after
a reasonable time. But would be somehow cooler if the backup client could do
that job.

Hope someone reads this.

Regards
Robert

Documentation is at 6.4 Pre and post backup scripts on client and server
