In windows, when you want to shutdown your computer, you can choose between “Turn off” and “Restart”.
if an update is pending, you get an additional option: “Install update and turn off”
How about introducing this behaviour in the Windows Clients? When a backup is running, add an option “Finish backup and turn off”?
I think this would minimize the cases with outdated backups because users always turn on their computers for short usage and don’t realize the yellow backup icon.
Maybe as alternative to issue 4938?
