Cant image backup Windows Server 2016. Backing up System Reserved (SYSVOL) partition failed

Hi, I have latest versions of server and client and I am trying to backup my Windows Server 2016 that is in hyperv VM.

When I start image backup it shows up under activities tab and then disapears.

Client log:

What ports do you have open on the Windows Server for UrBackup?

Problem was server had open ipv4 ports but not ipv6. DNS had both A and AAAA records.

That means urBackup started communication on ipv4 and then at some point silently switched to ipv6.

It would be very nice to improve logging of situations like these! Logs were not hopeful at all.

Weird, because it tries to connect with ipv4 and ipv6 when both are available (one after another depending in which order the operating system returns them). Anyways, it probably (randomly) ran into a timeout because the ipv6 connections weren’t outright rejected. I’ll increase the timeout to 1min with 2.5.x so that shouldn’t happen anymore.
