Cannot get the first full backup to complete

Hello,

I am trying to backup a linux client to a windows Server.
The backup is several (1-3 TB) and it has been running for three days.
Yesterday, the status showed 100% but the live-log was still showing files being backed up (I suppose 100% was 99.5%).

Now today, I am back at 7%. :frowning:

My hope is, that now a scheduled incremental backup is running, but I cannot confirm that anywhere and looking at the files in the live-log I see that the files that are currently being backed up are old ones, i.e. files that were there four days ago aswell.

I cannot make out any fatal errors in the log though. The Log from the first Backup:

I don’t see why the backup failed (well, disk problems, but which? why? how can I overcome these? and why can’t I resume the backup?)

Greetings,
Hendrik

Run chkdsk on the Windows server. When Windows servers get an unexpected hard reboot it can leave the file system in an inconsistent state which will prevent backups from completing. I get those same errors on our Windows servers if such things happen.

Thanks for your hint John.

chkdsk did not find any error though.

Same here, i m trying to backup 3 tb, running for days, cant get it to finish. I tried adding a few folders each time and then adding the mother folder so it can sync things, but everytime it fails, it’s quite frustrating, never had this problems with 1.4

Same here,
Using “Drive Bender” on windows 10 added a add. Harddisk to the pool after first disk got full. Any Ideas here? Also Getting this one: backupcom->AddToSnapshotSet(&(Server->ConvertToWchar(wpath)[0]), GUID_NULL, &dir->ref->ssetid) failed. VSS error code VSS_E_VOLUME_NOT_SUPPORTED

Well, i think it’s something with the windows server. I migrated to linux server on the same hardware and disks, and everything went smooth, and WAY faster.
