So I tried the truenas app, and as far as I know I got it running but the client couldn’t connect with it, and I don’t know what I did wrong. I got a VM on proxmox with win server to run it and the client found that easily, but I couldn’t get a network share to my NAS to work. I can’t figure out network share from ubuntu server either, so I feel a little lost.
I would be happiest with a VM connected to my NAS storage, but if that doesn’t work, I would be ok with the app on truenas… I know it must be on the app side for the mistake, because the windows server connected with clients flawlessly.
Advice? Tips? troubleshooting help? Docume nation is good, but I don’t fully understand it, and there seems to be not much turoial on truenas.
