Hi all, I’m new to the site and URBackup so please bear with me.
I’ve set up a test backup of approximate 1 GB from a client to the server.
I have a 100 MB network. Set up the backup as an incremental file.
For the first backup the system is telling me that its going to take 48 hours to complete, after 6 it had done 4%. The client software is running on Windows 2008 server and the server software is on a Windows 7 PC.
What am I doing wrong please?
There is little or no network, CPU or disc activity on either the server or client.
Looking at Task manager URbackup processors seem to be doing very little.
Thanks for getting back to me, I followed the link but this does not seem to be the problem. I tried changing the priority of the processors both on the server and client machine but no change. Although the server has been powered off and on several times the client is a mail server so always on. But over the holiday it was restarted to enable some Microsoft updates and hey presto the 1 GB of data then backed up in 16 minutes. I’ll do more investigation to see if I can find a reason why a restart was needed.
