Backup fails when drive is mounted via rclone

All,

I have OneDrive mounted on my KDE laptop using rclone. If OneDrive is mounted, the backup fails immediately with “User may not have permissions to access this folder. Errno is 22.” If I unmount the OneDrive folder, backup runs fine. I see others with a similar problem, but no solution other than unmounting the drive. Any ideas on getting this to work?

Here are the funky perms when the folder is mounted:
d??? ? ? ? ? ? OneDrive/
