I’m trying to see if UrBackup is a suitable backup solution for our diverse collection of workstations. We have Windows, Mac, and Linux machines, and I want to run the UrBackup server under Ubuntu.
We have been using UrBackup version 1.4.14 as a trial before the stable release 2.0.X (without Macs), to see how it does with Windows and Linux. In the version that we have, symbolic links in the backup files system on the Linux client are replaced by the actual files; according to what I seem to see and what I read in the forum.
Before installing 2.0.32, I would like to know if now symbolic links are restore as symbolic links on Linux clients, or if they are still replaced by the files they point to. I can’t find this information in the documentation or the forum.
