I have one internet client out of 5 that won’t cooperate. I have verified that the connection is stable on both ends. I enabled debug logging on the client and here is the output.

Found the solution. On the client’s router the TCP timeout was set to 120. After upping it to 3600 the issues went away.

It is currently pinging every 5min. The question now is if this should be lowered to something like 50s…
I don’t see any reason why it couldn’t be lowered. I ping thousands of hosts every 5 seconds monitoring uptime with zabbix with no issue. That would also give more accuracy to the information on the status page.
