I received my BSCS in 1984, worked primarily in IT for a decade, switched careers to speech-language pathology in the late 1990s, and then combined the two as an assistive technology specialist.

At this time I run a one-man break-fix computer business focused on home users and very small business, as well as working as a technology tutor for the Virginia Department for the Blind and Vision-Impaired (DBVI) in their Technology Tutor Network. This is mostly focused on working with adults who have lost their vision later in life and who now need to use screen reader technology to interact with their computers again.
