I am new to urbackup and loving its functions. I have successfully done files backup and restore. Now I have a Windows 2008R2 server which has completed image backups. I restored on a VM using the restore cd and the process completed successfully. However, on bootimg I get the blue screen, and I am thinking I may need t repair MBR but do not know how to. Please could someone guide me in the right way to do this?
You mean you are trying a physical to virtual (P2V) restore?

Yes, this is a p2v restore. I have note yet tested physical to physical.
The problem is that Windows expects the hardware to be unchanged when it reboots.
You’ll somehow need to prepare Windows to be booted on different hardware. The steps depend on which VM software + hardware model you are using.
I am using vmware esxi 6.0 vm.
