Hi,
what is the best solution as OS for urbackup server?
I have tried debian 8. It’s look good.
I have tried windows2012 but I get a lot of errors about c++ redist software.
The idea is a little 64bit computer that act as urbackup server with two iscsi external disk. That’s all.
Any ideas?

Could you post more details about those errors? Was the Windows fully updated before you installed UrBackup server?
Windows 2012 R2 italian.
Fresh installed. No antivirus.
Fully windows updated with all restart done.
I have tried:
Problems are in vc_redist.x64. Install go right but service don’t start (api-ms-win-crt-runtime not found).
https://support.microsoft.com/it-it/kb/2999226 patch is correctly installed but file seems not in good places.

Yes. It’s a MS problem 
Someone else here solved it by copying the files from a good system, but idk if one should continue to use a Windows with broken Windows Update.
Here the solutions:
In MS Windows 2012 R2 after full update (so system says “There aren’t updates for you”) install patch Windows8.1-KB2919355-x64.
Reboot (important this).
Now system update say “215 important updates for you”.
Reboot.
Install updated vc_redist.x64 (or restore a previous installation).
Now files are in correct places.
