I’m using an SSD as the system drive on my windows server and wanted to make sure UrBackup wasn’t writing too much to the SSD.
I specified an alternative TEMP location in the settings, is this enough to ensure this?

Yes that would do the trick. In 1.1 https://sourceforge.net/projects/urbackup/files/Server/1.1RC/ you’d need to enable file and image buffers in the “Advanced” tab as well.
I’d use the ssd as buffer device though and a slow, cheap hard disk as backup storage. Can’t image why you would do it outherwise? (Wear leveling keeps the SSD functional for a long time. Then it is only temporary files that are lost…)
