Setting up many computers for Internet Client ... question

Hello all. I’ve been going through all the messages here trying to sort out what it is I am trying to do.
I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to get the client to each computer I want to set up for Internet connection.
My client computers are spread all over different subnets in our network so the server will not find them automatically. I want to use the Internet
Do I have to create a client install for each computer (get the computer name, add it to the server then create the client)? Or is there a way I can send out the same client install file to 100 computers and they will get configured automatically back to the server?

Any thoughts and help would be great.

Thank you, James.

As per section 2.2.2 in http://www.urbackup.org/administration_manual.html#x1-130002.2.2 you could use the Python script here https://urbackup.atlassian.net/wiki/display/US/Download+custom+client+installer+via+Python to do what you want to do.

Thanks so much uroni. I have never heard of Python scripting, so to be honest I jumped that section.

I will take a stab at that today.

Sorry, I should say I didn’t even see that section as I didn’t notice the title of that section when I was trying things. Must have been tired when I was flipping through. Very sorry for that.

James.

Worked like a charm … I’ve never used Python but managed to muddle my way through.

Thanks, James.
