Ah - did a re-install - now I have the volume_snapshot, sorry about that.
Using server 2.5.17 in combination with client 2.5.11 (or any above 2.5.8) I get the following on all clients, after this message the only way to go back is kill the server:

I updated again. Parallel hashing should work now again (with one thread).
Not sure about where to set thread. i have
Beta: Number of parallel client file hash threads per file backup = 1
But i still get an error during the backup. Currently trying without parrallelism.

With the latest debian testing the server always crashes (even after rebuild):
