I’m trying to get me clients to connect via internet, i tried downloading and installing a preconfigured client from the internet server, but it just says “connected to internet server” and fails to start any backup. I disabled firewalls in both server and client, and forwarded port 55414 and 55415 to my client.
Also, using this method, i can’t get my clients to connect to the local backup server.
How should i procede? my idea is to have a local urbackup server, and also a offsite one, backing up only files (no images)
Can you give us some log files?
I don’t think there are any logs generated, not that i can find at least.
What OS’s are you running on client and server?
client server 2012 r2
lan server ubuntu
internet server windows 7 (i prepopulated the files in this server connected via lan, then made it a internet server)
Well, i managed to solve this!, for some reason the urbackup server service wasn’t starting in my server, i manually started the service and everything worked smoothly. Thanks a lot for the assistance and for this awesome software.
