I’ve got a QNAP. It would seem to me that if I install URBackup on a Ubuntu machine and save the backups to the QNAP I’m essentially doubling the network traffic as the data would come from the backup source to the Ubuntu workstation and then off across the network to the QNAP. Since QNAP is Linux (this is a TS-669 Pro) should I just install the URBackup Server on the QNAP? But it’s only Atom CPU with 1GB ram. Seems this would run VERY slow and cumbersome possibly? Also, I don’t want install/config headaches due to incompatibility issues. What’s the best route?
