Error when client runs backup, windows 10

my wife’s laptop is having trouble with incremental backups - they don’t seem to complete. while running one tonight, I looked at a live log from the gui.

my backups are running fine so I don’t think the server side is having any problems.

I have the same probleme here - a Windows 8 Laptop won’t perform any backup.

Server: UrBackup 2.4.11
Client: Urbackup 2.4.10, Windows 8

The client is on the same network (for the initial backup), however it is configured as an internet client. The status window on the client says that the client is connected to the internet server (in the bottom) and it is connected to the local IPv6 address of the same server.

Error message:

Incremental Backup of LAPTOP failed - CONNECT error -2

If i disable the internet backup on the client, the client is still connected to the server - however starting a backup is not possible (both on the client and through the web interface) - no error message - just nothing happens.

Any ideas?

You mentioned IPv6. I’ve seen a difficulty when the Link Local (FE80: …) address is displayed in the status window. On several clients I have to disable IPv6 support if excluding UrBackup from the antivirus/malware scans does not work. Is that an option you can test to see if it helps?
