BackUp failed after weeks of working fine - Error creating temporary file in ::doIncrBackup

Hey There,

as mentioned in the Topic UrBackUp worked fine for about 2 Weeks doing FUll and Incremental Backups as its supposed to do.

But today the BackUps for one of our Clients failed.

Log says “Error creating temporary file in ::doIncrBackup”

Nothing has changed since we implemented the Server and Clients and started using UrBackUp.
We doin simple file Backups from 2 machines to a Synology NAS.

I tried to restart the Client on the specific machine but when i ask for Status it say an “An Error occured, No Data can be Backed Up”

As a second problem resulting from manualy restarting the client, now the connection to Server seems to have crashed completely.

I configured the Server that Clients can’t initiate backups from their side but after manually restarting the Client process i can change all settings and initiate backups from there as if i never set those options.

Hope u guys can help me get it working again cause we are fully satisfied with your piece of Software.

Thanks in advance and best regards.

Alex

Please mark this as resolved. Seemed to be some kind of client error. after reinstalling the client software Backups work properly again.

Okay. It was a server problem, though. Next time have a look at the server log file or the “all” live log.
